Font Tester

Reflection

Experience:

This module tested my resilience having to juggle this and multiple others while having heavy workflow. It was incredibly stressful but I learned a lot in this module. It exposed me to more principles of Typography and what I have to take note while making decisions on my type. Maybe one day I can use the knowledge I got in this module for a future project and practice more so I don't repeat the same mistakes as I did here/

Observation:

I observed that I really quite enjoy font making and typography more than I originally thought. I never liked technical things but typography made me engrossed in making sure everything was right even while I was stressed and didn't want to continue working on it anymore. I also observed that I have to be more careful in making decisions and also taking care of myself since I ended up sick overworking myself by not sleeping whenever I get in the flow.

Findings:

I learned there are always ways to make your work unique even if it started off as something that many are familiar with. It was discouraging to hear people say that my work was generic and boring, but I managed to get the approval of fellow designers after I adjusted my work.
