Task 1 / Proposal
In Week 1, students are required to create a thematic interactive website proposal with the topic of their choice that can be based on:
- A specific product of a particular brand launch/special
- Movie promotion
- Game release promotion.
- Gallery/Museum exhibit launch
- Band/Artist latest release.
- Or anything else you have in mind (subject to the module coordinator's approval)
So with this in mind, I made some slides about my ideas.
Initial Website Proposals
After receiving feedback on Week 3, he recommended that I choose between the first 2 ideas presented on the slides since the third idea was an idea that many people have been choosing to do.
- Cat Care
- Excalibur (1981)
At first, I wanted to do Excalibur. Having been a long time fan of Arthurian Legend, I already had ideas on what I could do. However, I wasn't sure whether or not I could . Most of the materials in the movie aren't in high fidelity and therefore the images will be crusty. I would also have to get access to the movie itself and photoshop certain parts out.
So in the end, I ended up choosing Cat Care for my website. With that, I did more research on what I could do.
Resources:
Target Audience
Group: Girls who are around 13-25 years old
For this website, I decided to focus on general cat care that can apply to the most cats with some extra care tips for famous cat breeds such as Persians and so on. As its catered to people who are younger, it will be minimalistic and simple to understand. It will also be cutesy.

Visual Design References
For the design of the website, I plan for it to be simple and cute. Pastel colors or warm tones to highlight the joy of owning a cat. I found some websites that I planned to use as inspiration for the website.

| Figure 1.1 | The Bear and his Scarf (Week 3 / 07.10.25) |
This site caught my eye due to the art style and its format being in a similar manner that I wanted to convey through the cat care website with its cuteness. It is a site that scrolls down but I believe I can adapt some parts of it into my own design.

Figure 1.2 |
Year of Love (Week 3 / 07.10.25) |
Year of Love has a unique interactive interface that has good feedback. It also has interesting an stylistic choice that could be used as inspiration for my website.
|
| Figure 1.3 | Importance of Bees (Week 3 / 07.10.25) |
The simplicity of the website of the Importance of Bees drew my attention to it. Its use of gifs are also something I could potentially use for the website.
|
| Figure 1.4 | Nespresso (Week 3 / 07.10.25) |
For this site, it was the interactive elements that caught my attention. While it might be out of my skill to attempt something like this for now, I understand how I give feedback to the interactive parts of the website.

| Figure 1.5 | Art Style Moodboard |
I made a moodboard for how I would like to go about going with the cats for the website. I remembered how growing up that Neko Atsume and Pusheen always made me love cats more and want to raise them, but I never ended up learning how to. So with this, I made a few sketches of designs of cats that could be used in the site.

These cats may be more refined for Task 2.

Reflection
There's a lot of things I could improve on from this proposal and I will do so in the next task for the sake of sharing the beauty and cuteness of cats.
