3. Exercise 1 | Quantify & Visualize Data
For this exercise, I am required to quantify my chosen objects and arrange them into a presentable layout or chart. The information must be presented as is, and I need to arrange the objects with relevant indicators written out with pens to help you visualize the quantity and data. The examples of objects we have been shown are ones using buttons, coins, and legos. (The image below is an example.)
After this exercise was briefed to us, I went to my local DIY store to get items that could be used for this exercise. I ended up using colorful paper clips as my object of choice.
I took half of the paper clips from the container. I thought if I used all of it, I wouldn't have been able to properly sort them out. After this, I decded to sort out the nominals first, which I did without planning beforehand. Below are my test pictures before I was told what my tutorial lecturer wanted for this exercise.

In the end, I decided to go with a way of sorting similar to the image below. I used a dark marker for the information.
The next part of this exercise was to make the paper clips more visually presentable compared to the last part. I tested out multiple ways in order for it to be presented in a unique way and found the best and most efficient way was for it to be sorted in blocks.
For this, I used a box method which shows the number of paper clips in an interesting and unique way.
The next part of this exercise would showing at the "story" through using the clips. I wasn't quite sure of what I wanted to do but I remember the gist of this part being about the materials making a story. So with that in mind, I decided to make the image below.
4. Exercise 2 | L.A.T.C.H (Location / Alphabet / Time / Category / Hierarchy)
In exercise 2, we have to organize a group of information into a visual poster that uses the LATCH principles (Minimum of 4). We are required to use a digital software available to assemble the information we have into an A4 LATCH infographic poster. We are also allowed to use existing images but we do have to create the rest of your visuals to complete the poster.
I decided to use the some of the current Round Table characters (also known as Servants) released from the Japanese Game, "Fate/Grand Order" for this exercise. My idea for this was to separate the servants by their class (Category), Rank them by their "rarity" (Hierachy), Sort them by the first letter of their names (Alphabet), and where they originally came from (Location). I listed all the information I needed into the PDF below to prepare myself for the infographic.

4.1 | References & Sketches
I then decided to get some get visual guides in order to help me with the process of making an infographic.
I felt that I could make my infographic a bit simpler to show the information more easily while it being easy to the eyes.
Above are my sketches on what I should go for in the infographic poster. I was mixed between which to choose since Sketch #1 was organized but Sketch #2 was more unique. In the end, I was leaning towards Sketch #1 for the infographic poster and decided to use it for the infographic poster.
4.2 | Digitization
Before working on the visuals, I decided to properly arrange the information in a readable manner.
After this, I finally decided to search and add the visuals for this infographic poster to make sure it fits the aesthetic of the Knights. While at it, I found that my placement felt slight off so I readjusted it in order for it to fit more.
I continued to rearrange the infographic to be able to take in more of the information and this is the end result of it.
