2. Week 10 | After Effects Exercise
This exercise was given to us in order to familiarize us with what to do in After Effects for Project 4 (Animated Poster). I started by downloading the Photoshop file given to us in order to do this exercise and proceeded to put it into After Effects.
The folders were made in order to make sure to keep the assets we have tidy and know where they are.
First, I started by animating the fencer by using the clicking the clock button of the position of the Fencer and making points on how and where I want the fencer to move. I put a command on the position that is "loopOut()" in order to make it continue looping without the need of copy and pasting the points multiple times. I then repeated the process with the shark with slightly longer movements as well as the textured background.
Then after this, it was recommended to us add some textures, our lecture taught us to download a video from youtube and how to use the effects in the video in our work. In this case, the effects used in this tutorial would be "Dust grunge overlay video effect."
With this, I added a new folder called "05_MOV" in order to store this asset and imported it from my laptop's library.

After adding it into my composition, I made put the layer of the MP4 above the Shark layer and put the mode on "Overlay" and lower the opacity to apply the effect.
Next, I took an image from one of the previous projects, Project 2B, and used the image given to us to practice before producing our own product to add another layer to the composition.

I trimmed out the outside of the image in order to use it for the composition in Photoshop before importing it into After Effects.

I put the image's mode to "Darken" and adjusted the size of the image and masked it so it could fit in the composition of the work.

I then added the first parts of the audio (Rain and Tears - Neutrin05) to finish off and downloaded the composition to post it onto Youtube.
