Digital Photography & Imaging | Project 2A - Double Exposure

1. Instructions

2. Project 2A | Double Exposure (Part 1)

After looking at the tutorial, I decided to start by downloading the images needed to make the double exposure example. After that, I proceeded to add the picture of the woman and remove the background using 'Select & Mask'.

Figure 1.0 | Process 1#

I changed the shade of the background into the same color of the image of the trees that was given to us for this project using the dropper. Then I clipping masked the trees to the woman's head. After that, I reflected the image of the the trees and put it directly underneath the woman and clipping masked it.

To finish it off, before adding the gradient to complete the work, I added other elements so that it feels complete. I then added the gradient to make it blend more together.

3. Project 2A | Double Exposure (Part 2)

As for my own composition, I got some pictures online.

Figure 1.3 | Process #1

I removed the background of the man and adjusted the saturation of the man to black and white. After  that, I clipped the image of the snowy mountain into his head and body and used the brush with lesser hardness to erase some parts of it so that it looked good.

I then added a background of a forest so that it looks less empty and part of a world.

Before adding the gradient, I added some clouds to make it seem more interesting.
