Figure 1.0 | Image

After watching the tutorial provided for this practical, I downloaded the image and went on to color the image in Photoshop.

I then added a new layer and used the brush tool in order to color over the image. I erased a little bit that got out of the face and made sure it fit the face of the image.

After that, I applied blending mode and selected "Overlay" and repeated the process for the eyes, lips, hair, and clothes. I then adjusted the hue and saturations in order to make it more real looking.

After this, I made a new layer and filled the image with a blue color. I hid it and then selected all layers' elements and used the lasso tool to make sure there was nothing leaking on the person. I then created a mask on the layer that covered the entire image and inverted it to make the outside of the person colored.

III. Digital Collaging Exercise 02 | Part 2

After watching the demonstration video, I chose one of the images from the folder given to us to do this task.

Figure 1.5 | Image Chosen

I first started with selecting the colors from the two images offered to us for use and then using the quick selection tool in order to capture his hair and mask it.

I then selected overlay and used the refine edge brush tool and well as the brush tool to help clean the edges of the hair. After that, I made a new layer with solid color and chose the hair color. I transferred the mask I made onto the new layer and applied soft light.

I then repeated the process for the rest of the image.

Figure 1.7 | Colored

I noticed that the colors do not fit too well with the image as a whole and decided to adjust the colors to fit more as well as play with the properties.
